About Doova

Doova is a wheeled home companion from Tuya Smart, shown at IFA 2026 in Berlin. It is a short, round robot with no arms, a 10.1-inch HD screen, and animated facial expressions. Tuya built it for older adults who live alone.

If you call "Hey Tuya, help," Doova is supposed to find you with LDS LiDAR, four microphones, and camera-based pose detection. If you do not answer within 60 seconds, it starts a two-way video call to family. Day to day it chats, plays media, helps read bills, flags possible scams, and reminds you about medicine and schedules. Voice can also control Tuya lights, curtains, and kitchen appliances.

When you are out, it rolls room to room on a dual-wheel drive with casters, scans 360 degrees from the center of each room, and sends a safety report to a phone. It docks and charges on its own. Whole-home item finding is listed as a future add-on, not a shipping feature.

There is no public price, ship date, or consumer cart. The Verge reports that Tuya plans to bring it to market. Compare Doova with ElliQ, a US desk lease, and EBO X, a buyable family guardian. Status here is Coming Soon.
