About FIDI

FIDI is a tabletop feeding robot from Semi Robotics in Łódź, Poland. It is a robotic arm with a 3D camera and replaceable cutlery on a base that holds a plate. You sit at a table or beside a bed. The arm scoops food and brings it to your mouth.

After food is loaded, feeding starts with one touch on a screen. Semi Robotics says the software tracks mouth position, eating pace, and cues such as a head turn. The plate and spoon are dishwasher safe. The company says the robot in public videos is a working prototype, not a finished retail unit.

There is no public MSRP. You can leave a name and email on semirobotics.pl for first-delivery notices. Łódź care homes have used FIDI in mealtime pilots. Series production and medical-device certification are still in progress. A 2024 interview mentioned possible leasing for care sites; treat that as a plan, not a live store.

HomeBotRadar lists FIDI so you can compare a single-purpose feeding arm with elder-care companions such as ElliQ and Buddy. It does not walk the house or chat. It is built for one task: eating when you cannot use a spoon yourself.
