About Reachy 2
Reachy 2 is a human-shaped research robot from Pollen Robotics, now part of Hugging Face. Labs use it to study how machines see, grab objects, and work with people.
Each arm has seven joints and can lift about 3 kg. You can buy a single arm setup, a dual-arm body, or a version on a rolling base with LiDAR. Operators can control it through a VR headset or Python code built on ROS 2.
Prices start around $70,000 for a stationary arm and about $78,000 for the mobile dual-arm kit. Universities such as Cornell and Carnegie Mellon use Reachy 2 in research, not in family living rooms.
It is orderable for institutions. HomeBotRadar lists it so you can compare open research platforms to consumer humanoids, not because you should expect a home delivery.
