About Ballie

Ballie is Samsung's rolling home companion: a yellow sphere on three wheels that maps rooms, controls lights and appliances, streams pet check-ins, and projects workouts or video calls onto nearby surfaces. CES 2024 added spatial LiDAR, front and rear cameras, an IR blaster for legacy TVs and AC units, and Google Gemini for natural conversation. Samsung demoed wine pairing, schedule reminders, and posture-aware projection that tracks where you sit. TechCrunch cited about two to three hours of continuous projector use per charge. Samsung targeted US and South Korea launches in summer 2025, but Bloomberg reported in early 2026 that consumer Ballie was indefinitely shelved. Samsung now describes it as an internal innovation platform rather than a retail product. HomeBotRadar tracks Ballie for its influence on mobile home AI even though you cannot buy one today.
