It is meant to help with chores, respond to voice commands, and learn tasks through AI that combines cameras and language models. Early trials used remote human guidance while the robot's own autonomy improved.

1X lists a $20,000 purchase option or about $499 per month on a subscription plan, with limited US deliveries starting around 2026. It is not a mass-market product yet, but it is further along than many lab-only humanoids.
