OPTIMUS GEN 2

Optimus Gen 2 is Tesla's human-shaped robot. It has a head, two arms, and two legs. Tesla trains it with the same kind of AI work used in its cars and factory software.

Most public videos show Optimus in factories, carrying boxes and walking on test floors. As of mid-2026 there is still no consumer checkout, reservation queue, or published MSRP. Elon Musk has repeatedly floated a $20,000-$30,000 at-scale target; treat that as an estimate, not a store price. Tesla has also talked about helping in homes someday, but there is no normal home trial program yet.

On paper it is roughly person-height (about 173 cm) and can lift heavy loads for a robot. Many specs are still unconfirmed because Tesla shares little detail outside staged demos.
