About Jennie

Jennie is a robotic golden retriever puppy made for seniors, especially people with dementia who cannot safely keep a live dog. Jim Henson's Creature Shop designed the fur, face, and movements so it feels like a real lap pet.

Nine motors drive head tilts, tail wags, and barks. Touch sensors across the body tell the difference between gentle petting and a hard pat. A phone app lets caregivers rename the pup and adjust how it responds.

Tombot targets about $1,500 at launch and is working toward FDA clearance for clinical use. The first batch sold out; new units ship from a waitlist with private timing updates.

Jennie does not walk around the house. It is meant to stay in your lap or beside a chair for comfort and calm, not for fetching objects or cleaning.
